Trail 0: De Aínsa a Guaso

TRAIL 0: AINSA - MARGUDGUED-GUASO-AINSA

Variante 0.1: Descenso por la trilaera de color negro

The first part of the route, between Aínsa and Margudgued, runs along a flat trail that acts as a breakwater to the River Ara. This first section, which is signposted as PR-HU 186 (Aínsa-Boltaña path), is very easy to do by bike, and is also of great value in terms of its natural landscape, running along the banks of the River Ara throughout. From Margudgued it follows a little-used local road that goes up to the highest quarter of Guaso, where the Romanesque Church and the "esconjuradero" (a small brick construction where people prayed for the rains to stop) are located, with magnificent views of the Pyrenees. From the church at Guaso, the basic route descends along a trail as far as the quarter of El Grado, going back into Aínsa by road. In Guaso there is an optional trial variant (difficulty: BLACK) that goes down along a footpath known as the "Camino de los Pacos".
