In June 2015, Comarca de Sobrarbe (Huesca-Aragón) became a member of the European Cultural Route "The European Route of Megalithic Culture" declared by the Council of Europe on August 2013.
It this way, Sobrarbe became the first territory in southern Europe to participate in this route, that stars a selection of the oldest monuments of Denmark, the United Kingdom, Germany, the Netherlands and Sweden.
The European Cultural Routes program o was inaugurated in 1987, when the European Council signed the Santiago Declaration.
It currently has more than 30 routes that cover fifty nations.
